Press Releases
What does a press release look like? And what information does it contain? We have been working with this question for more than five years and we seem to have figured it out by now. We have helped our customers send out almost one million press releases so far. Press releases distributed through Press2go are designed according to certain principles which take your productivity into consideration, as well as the best possible service in order to meet the requirements of the recipients. This means simplicity in design as well as ways of photo editing, attachments, timing and statistics of effectiveness. We do not wish to promote ourselves, which is why we clearly state you as the distributor - the story is yours and not ours. Do you have your own specific design principles we are happy to implement these in the system.
Newsletters
If you want to collect all of your communication in one system you are able to do this through Press2go PRM - it's easy and helps optimize your productivity. We monitor your coverage in your audience so you are able to see whether the stories are being read, and who reads what. We have a variety of templates, but you are welcomed to bring your own design into Press2go PRM.
Design
There is a variety of ways to design press releases and newsletters, and we have created a list of templates available to you. If you would rather implement your own design into Press2go PRM this can easily be done. Since the template needs to be read by different email clients (known aswell as unknown), it is not all needs we are able to meet, but we will certainly try!
Archive
When using Press2go PRM you don't need to worry about saving your activities. Your press releases and newsletters are all put into an archive, as soon as they have been sent out. From this archive you are able to do a free text search in all previous publications and see who received which stories, when and whether they opened them or not.
Statistics
We measure the effectiveness of all distributions. For each press release you are able to access a statistic that tells you who received your story and who chose to open it. This can be an advantage if you would like to follow up on the story, by calling the media. For example, you might have better luck if you only call the media who opened the press release in the first place. This feature might also help you to analyze whether your story fits the audience to who you distributed. If no one has opened your press release it may be due to bad timing, a bad story or the wrong recipients - as a last explanation something happened that day, which was very exciting- making your story less interesting. In regards to newsletters the statistics function is a bit more advanced. Here, you are able to see who opened it as well as who read each individual story within the newsletter.
Import
You are able to import your own contacts into the Press2go PRM system, without any hassle. You typically find these in Outlook, Notes, Excel or Word. And if they are organised in a table, chart or separated by comma they can be copy/pasted directly into Press2go PRM. Of course you are also able to import a good old fashioned .csv-file. If you experience any problems you are always welcomed to call us within opening hours - we will be waiting by the phone.
Export
Perhaps you will one day decide to leave Press2go PRM, maybe you will want to export your data to take with you or maybe you just want to extract it in order to develop it further. Of course this is not a problem, seeing as the data you have produced is your own property.
Integration
We see the website as the focal point of the company or organization. This is where the message needs to be told and all other parts of the organization becomes satelites, who attract traffic to the website. SEO, banner ads, press releases, newsletters, social media, sms and even good old hardcopy mail all refer back to a website, as the basis of further communication. So of course we designed Press2go PRM to integrate with your website - both ways. This means that press releases sent out through Press2go PRM is automatically published in your own press room so you don't have to do the same work twice. And at the same time you are able to embed subscription forms in your own website, which automatically corresponds with contact groups in Press2go PRM.
Image Server
If a journalist receives 50-100 press releases in one day, and an avarage of two high resolution images it makes for at least 50-100MB, but often a lot more as the images can be formatted in more than one way. We need to treat the time journalists have available with respect and make sure not to waste their time sorting through an overloaded inbox. This is why images are not attached in the traditional way, but instead uploaded to a fileserver, and link to this through the press release. This has two advantages. First, this way a press release issued through Press2go PRM only takes up a few kilobytes. Second, this facilitates the possibility for our customers to build their own image archive in Press2go PRM. Your are able to access this archive through any computer, as long as you can access the internet - you also find all your contacts, files and the worlds leading phonebook of journalists. The photoserver also facilitate any other file format imagniable for reports, data, etc.
